Launch of 400 - 500 kVA range of Generating Sets
FG Wilson launches a new 400 - 500 kVA range (60 Hz) of generating sets powered by the Perkins 2206 series engine.
The Open Order Board for this new product is 12th January 2009.

What's New?
Replacement of the existing 2306 series powered models
The new 400 - 500 kVA model range, powered by the 2206 series engine will replace the existing generating set models that are currently powered by the 2306 series engine.
Fully electronic engine
A fully electronic engine with improved emissions, fuel consumption and lower maintenance costs through greater engine monitoring, protection and control.
Two variants of the 2206 engine
Choose between two variations of the 2206 engine - the 'A' and 'C' variants. The 'C' variant engine will comply with EU 2007 Stage II emissions legislation. The 'A' variant of this engine is optimized for lower fuel consumption although is not compliant with emissions legislation.
New high ambient enclosure
Introducing a new high ambient enclosure option (CAHA) - the 2206 series powered canopy models are designed for operation in high ambient environments up to 50ºC.
Commonality of parts with the 2306
Ensuring the customer experiences optimum 'smoothness' in this product introduction, the 2206 engine has 85% commonality of parts with its predecessor.
Smaller footprint
The footprint of the 2206 is smaller that its predecessor due to the increased power density of the engine.

Perkins Product Training
